The problem

Still heating homes the way we did in the 1970s

The combi boiler was the last big change to the British home, and fifty years on most of us are still paying to run a system designed for colder winters and milder summers than we now get.

23m

homes still burning gas

Most of those boilers will need replacing within the decade, and the usual choice is another boiler or a heat pump that only handles heating.

<5%

of UK homes have cooling

British houses were built to keep heat in, so a 28°C bedroom has become a fairly ordinary August night.

£15,000

what a whole-home system usually costs

Heating, cooling and hot water together have been a luxury purchase. Fixed pricing and the government grant change that.

The movement

A home climate company on the household's side

The switch to cleaner energy has mostly been sold to people as a sacrifice, which is a large part of why so few households have bothered with it.

We started from the other end. Your home is warmer in January and cooler in July, your heating runs on electricity instead of gas, and we claim the grant on your behalf. For homes on electric heating today, bills typically fall sharply. For gas homes, running costs are comparable, and you gain cooling, room-by-room control and a home that's ready for what comes next.

Around twenty-three million homes will change over the next decade, and that should be open to every street in the UK rather than only the households with a spare £15,000.

Questions

Common questions

When can I get Clime?
We install from 2027. We're certification-first, which means we won't sell or install until air-to-air systems are fully certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme and our position under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme is confirmed. Join the waitlist and we'll contact you the moment your postcode opens.
Do I need planning permission?
For around 95% of homes, no. Permitted development was extended in 2025 to cover air-to-air heat pumps with cooling, and the old boundary rule was scrapped.
Is the £2,500 grant real money?
Yes. From April 2026 the Boiler Upgrade Scheme covers air-to-air systems. We apply on your behalf and deduct the full value from your price upfront, so you never pay it or claim it back. The grant is subject to your property and system meeting the scheme rules, and Ofgem will contact you to confirm your consent. One grant is available per property.
Will it cool the whole house or just one room?
The whole house. Any room the system heats in winter it can also cool in summer.
What about my radiators and hot water?
The boiler and radiators come out, and hot water comes as part of the package, so showers, baths and taps work as they did before.
